My littlest angel loves to lay out numbers 1-9 with number cards and cheerios. It is a cheap and motivational way to learn numbers. She loves to eat them when she is done as her mid-morning snack. I have number cards available at my website at www.montessoriforlearning.com (numbers 1-9, and also the tens, hundreds, and thousands cards --small and large).. or you can make your own using index cards.
